Ann Patricia Mulligan

Ann spent her career teaching junior high and high school English in Massachusetts and Florida. She taught at Jefferson High School in Tampa for twenty-three years, from 1993 until she retired as English Department Head in 2015. She was a favorite of students and respected by colleagues.

Ann loved to travel. She and Sally enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. They frequently visited her family in the Boston area. Each fall, along with escaping the Florida heat, they enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod.

Ann delighted her family and friends with her sense of humor, especially her dry wit. An avid reader, she enjoyed spy novels and mysteries.

Ann is survived by her devoted wife, Sally Lenore Thullbery. She is also survived by her cherished siblings, Jane Mulligan, and Tom Mulligan (Diane), her maternal aunt, Kathleen Coughlin (Ronald), and many cousins. In Florida she is survived by her extended family, sister-in-law Martha Ellis (Jamie), and brother-in-law Doug Thullbery (Heather). Ann was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, Taylor Ellis (Sarah), Caroline Zalkin (Adam), Caperton Ellis, Elizabeth Thullbery, and Jake Thullbery.
