Carmen Nelly Santiago Rivera

Nelly was educated in Puerto Rico public schools and attended Republica de Colombia High School in Rio Piedras, PR. Nelly worked as a Secretary at the Department of Work and Human Resources of Puerto Rico. Nelly was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She loved to play domino and to expend time with her family.

Nelly was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Myrna Luz Rivera. She is survived by her two brothers and wives Angel Luis & Alicia Santiago and Juan Enrique & Milagros Rivera; sister and husband Gloria Esther and Felipe Rodriguez; her two sons and wives Julio Diaz & Magalys Rodriguez and Julio Luis Diaz & Brenda Cintron; her daughter and husband, Mildred Diaz & Zabre Graeb; grandchildren Julio Emanuel Diaz, Monica Marie Diaz, Luis Andres Diaz, Raquel Crystal Diaz, Zamil Emanuel Graeb and Zamira Enid Graeb; and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Vsitation will be held on June 13, 2020 at 5:00 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL. A private funeral service will be held on June 13, 2020 at 6:00 pm at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/givehope, or to LIFE Outreach International at lifetoday.org
