Cornelius "Neil" Cosentino

Neil was born in New York City, Aug. 07, 1937 in a happy home with 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters by very loving parents Adelaide and Salvatore Cosentino.

Neil wanted to be a pilot early on . He joined the US Air Force at age 18; he flew the B 47; KC 135 and finally the F 4 Phantom his dream come true. Neil met Maria, a lady from Germany in London , England in Oct. 1961 and they married on Dec, 31; 1962 in New York City. They had a beautiful life together.

Neil believed in honesty ; integrity and faith in God and humanity. He was a creative thinker, loved to write short stories and was active in local civic affairs.

Neil will be greatly missed by Maria after 61 + happy years and his large family in the USA & Germany and friends in many parts of the world.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 518 N Marion St, Tampa, FL 33602. A reception will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. Afterward, a committal service with full Air Force honors will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Neil’s honor to the Florida Aviation Historical Society AWAPS, Albert Whitted Airport, 451 8th Ave. SE Saint Petersburg, FL 33701, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 518 N Marion St, Tampa, FL 33602.
