Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1930, in Tampa, she was a proud graduate of Jefferson High School. Shortly after, she met the love of her life, Luther R. Sollenberger, and the two were married on March 4, 1948.
Dorothy dedicated her career to the medical field, working at Tampa General Hospital and supporting numerous local physicians throughout the years. She was known for her kind heart, steady presence, and passion for caring for others.
Dorothy leaves behind a loving family to carry on her memory: her children Robert Sollenberger, Calvin Sollenberger, and Kimberly Lowery; ten cherished grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, 605 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at the Life Event Center.
