Edward “Eddy” Belmonte Sr., 65 passed away Thursday October 22, 2015 surrounded by loving family. Eddy was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Casimir Szada Jr. of Tampa. He is survived by his wife of nearly 36 years Kathleen J. Belmonte, his daughter Courtney Salenieks (Erik) of Maryland, sons Eddy (Natasha), Ronald (Sarah), Michael, Matthew (Cherith), and Mark (Rebecca) all of Tampa, sisters Victoria, Cheryl, Laura, and Patty. Brothers Thomas, Joseph, Dale, David, Ned, Leon, and Larry and sister in law Gilda A. Szada. Eddy leaves behind 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Eddy was a proud Tampa native who spent the last 23 years behind the counter at Mott & Hester Deli in south Tampa amongst true friends. Eddy was loved for his colorful sense of humor and outgoing personality. He was an avid fisherman and Tampa sports fan. A celebration of life will be held Sunday October 25, 2015 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home located at 605 S. Macdill Ave. in Tampa. The family will be receiving friends starting at 4pm with the celebration beginning at 5pm. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to LifePath Hospice Tampa (chaptershealth.org).
