

Ellie dedicated many years of service as a telephone operator with GTE, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit. She was a faithful member of Christ Fellowship and found great comfort and community in her church family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae Barber; her father, William L. Barber; her beloved husband, Harold D. Wright; her brother Lewis Barber and her sisters, Dorothy A. Barden and Alice Jones.
Ellie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her son, Edward D. Wright and his wife Debbie Wright, her daughters, Anne M. Abell and Connie S. Longstreet and her husband Kenneth Longstreet. She has six grandchildren, Kenneth F. Longstreet, Jr., and his wife Kimberly Longstreet, Brandi M. Wright, Trevor W. Longstreet, Jessica A. Abell, Malachi Hudak, and Mariana Hudak.
Ellie will be remembered as a loving mother and friend. She was a wonderful example of God’s unconditional love; she would quietly step in and help others whenever needed. Ellie’s strength, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Graveside Services will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, US, on March 2, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
