Eliel Canizares, 89, of Tampa, passed away on March 24. He was born in Fomento, Cuba on June 22, 1932. Eliel married Aracely Canizares on August 9, 1978. He worked at Hijos y Amigos de Fomento as a maintenance manager. Eliel will be remembered for helping his family get established here from Cuba, being a caring husband, a loving father, and a great grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and had the best sense of humor.
Eliel is survived by his children Oresta Canizares and Olga Canizares; grandchildren Eriel Alvarez, Brandon Canizares, Stefan Canizares, Caroline Canizares, Luna Alvarez and Miranda Alvarez; and his brother Isel Rodriguez.
A burial will be help at 1pm on March 30 at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
