Elizabeth V. “Liz” Dyer, 88, loving wife, mother and “Mimi” went to be with the Lord on Feb. 10, 2016. Liz was born in Tazewell, Virginia on August 9, 1927 but moved to Newark, Ohio as an infant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Shorty of 47 years, her son Donald Neibarger and her sister Katherine. Liz is survived by her loving family, sister Martha Tanner of Texas, daughter Pam (Mike) Montoya, son Pat (Debbie), stepdaughter and stepson, Connie (Fred) Pearson and Steve Dyer, eight grandchildren, Brenda, Cammie, Karie, Eric, Steve, Chad and Nina and Matthew, several great grandchildren and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Florida, Ohio and Texas.
Her family was her life and she was a stay-at-home mother dedicated to raising her children and grandchildren. We will carry your memory in our hearts forever. You were the “Best Mom Ever”.
Her celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 18th at Blount and Curry on MacDill Avenue. Visitation is 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Service from 7:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Manhattan Baptist Church, 4300 S. Manhattan Ave., Tampa, FL 33611 in memory of Elizabeth Dyer.
