Eula V Palmer

Eula Vining Palmer met her Savior Jesus Christ face to face on May 27, 2025 in Oldsmar, FL. Eula was born on October 20, 1924 in Winter Garden, FL to James and Eva Driggers Vining. Eula was invited to attend church by a neighbor, and at the age of 13 she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Winter Garden, FL. She walked to church by herself, and was later joined by her family members. Eula was the first in her family to graduate from Winter Garden High School, class of 1942. After high school, Eula moved to Orlando and worked in a defense plant, applying sealant to airplane wings. She lived in a rooming house with her sister Louise. Eula and her sister enjoyed visiting on the front porch of their rooming house with the servicemen stationed at a nearby Army post. A very special young man won Eula's heart, and George Palmer and Eula were married April 1, 1944 at the First Baptist Church in Orlando, FL. George was shipped off to fight in WWII shortly after they were married. Two years later, they settled in George's home state of New York, raising their 8 children in Chittenango and later Canastota. In 1969, the Palmer family moved to Sanford, FL. Eula enjoyed volunteering at the First Baptist Church in Sanford, helping with the Adult Sunday School department, sewing, painting ceramics, tending to the plants in her beautiful yard, and going for walks. Her greatest joy came from seeing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and living actively for Him. Eula moved out of the Sanford area in 2016.

Eula is survived by her children - Andy of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Marty (Jean) of Wimauma, FL, and children Jeremy (Alisha), Elizabeth (Blake) Espich and Alex. Peter (Leslie) of Lutz, FL and daughter Megan. Timothy (Sherry) of DeBary, FL, and children TJ (Katherine,) Susan (Daniel) Booth. Matt (Annie) of Oldsmar, FL, and children Marecea, Grace, Madison and George. Phyllis (Bill) Skiffington of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and sons Phillip (Tiffany,) Andy (Lauren,) and Wesley (Nicole.) Janis (Tom) of Osteen, FL, and children Sara (Jeremy Rock) and Christopher (Trista.) Jill (Miguel) Gonzalez of Orlando, FL and children Rachel (Connor) Cureton and Michael. Eula is also survived by great-grandchildren Ezekiel, Titus and Kai Palmer, Nathaniel Espich, Sawyer and Emily Booth, Lily and Layne McGovern, William (Liam) Skiffington, Sophia and Wesley Skiffington, and Kip Skiffington. Eula is preceded in death by her husband George of 60 years, brothers Edgar Vining and Raymond Vining, sisters Louise Vining, and Virginia Clark, and daughter Susan. She is preceded in death by grandchildren Christy Suzann, Theodore and Heather Palmer, Tyler Palmer, great-grandson Zachariah Martin Palmer, and daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Palmer.
