Florence W. Hicks

Fran was born May 20, 1945, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her family moved to S. Tampa in 1947, where she grew up and resided most of her life. She worked and valued her career for the FBI for 39 years, before retiring to care for her mother. She was an avid fan of the Bucs, Bolts, and Rays. Her passions included her faith, gardening, reading, doing Search a Word puzzles, and watching and laughing to British comedy programs on PBS. Family and friends meant the world to her. She was the best Mom I could have had and the most amazing Grandma to my daughters. She will be deeply missed by her family, close friends, and all whom had the honor and pleasure of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry (Harry) and Mildred Whitehead.

Fran is survived by her son, Rodney Hicks; grandchildren, Kyla Hicks and Lauren Hicks; many cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 10am to 11am and a funeral service will begin at 11am at Blount Curry Macdill, 605 S. Macdill Ave, Tampa. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following in her honor and memory:
