Gloria Montesino Vallejo

Gloria Montesino Vallejo, 91 a native of Ybor City born to Cipriano and Margot Montesino, passed away on August 26, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Prudencio Vallejo; brother, Frank Montesino, and son, Prudencio Vallejo Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Lucy Montesino Canalejo; sons, Anthony Lopez (Linda), Michael Torres (Mary), Richard Torres ( Carolyn); daughter-in-law, Joan Vallejo; grandchildren, Anthony M. Lopez (Elissa), Todd C. Lopez, Nicole T. Guemmer (Albert), Michael V. Torres (Marisa), Crystal Torres, Amanda Rodriquez (Tony), Brent Bies (Stephanie), Prudencio Vallejo III (Tracy), Joseph Vallejo (Adrienne); 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

As the matriarch of the family, she was a fiercely devoted sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Family was her highest priority and she was loved beyond measure.

But what you don’t know is…Her other passions included traveling with her husband, singing and dancing. She was the greatest of story tellers and her door was always open. She was very proud of her successful working career having retired as head cashier and office manager of Pantry Pride #832 after 20 years of service.
