Harold M. Hendry, 81, a lifelong resident of Tampa, passed away on January 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Captain F.M. Hendry and Martha C. Hendry, and his brother Mark Hendry. He is survived by his wife, Nina A. Hendry; his sons, Hal Hendry (Christina) and Scott Hendry (Missie); his grandchildren, Allie, Mollie, Rachel, and Dylan; and his brother, Aaron W. Hendry (Barbara). He graduated from Tennessee Military Institute, and received a business degree from Florida Southern College where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Harold was a marine contractor, and a past president and owner of Hendry Corporation. He also enjoyed life as a rancher, citrus grower, and fisherman. As a lifelong member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church, his presence will be missed. He was a member of YPO, and served as past president of the Propeller Club of Tampa and the Southeastern Shipyard Association. A memorial service will be held at Hyde Park United Methodist Church at 4pm on January 21, 2016, with a reception following at the church. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hyde Park United Methodist Church.
