Jamie Lebron was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on March 5, 1953. He was the son of Basilio and Susana Lebron both of whom were born and raised in Puerto Rico. Jamie and his family moved to Brooklyn in the of year of 1956. He attended and graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School. After high school Jamie found his way to Canton, Ohio where he began his trucking career and returned to Brooklyn, NY shortly thereafter.
Jamie has always been inspired by music. He began playing the guitar at the age of 11. The guitar was his favorite instrument and became a symbol of knowing who he was and how he appreciated life. Jamie had many talents. He was a carpenter by heart as well as an artist. Jamie was in a band during his teenage years and continued to play the guitar until his illness would not allow him the energy to do so. A cool tidbit about Jimmy was that he attended Woodstock when he was 15 years old.
Despite his illness he continued to be a positive, optimistic, and energetic individual who would help anyone in need, human or animal. Jamie will be missed by his family, his close knit circle of friends who took care of him and his block that he would serenade with his guitar every evening.
He was predeceased by his parents, Susana and Basilio Lebron and 2 nephews- Omar Lebron and Benjamin Lebron.
