Jean Berthony Lubraine Lebrun Sr.

Jean Berthony Lubraine Lebrun Sr., of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on December 31, 1946, in Gonaives, Haiti, to Marie Françoise Gabriel Lebrun and Lubraine Lebrun.

In his twenties, Jean moved to New York City. He attended New York Community College and later built a successful career as an underwriter. In 1990, he relocated to Tampa, Florida where he raised his family.

A devoted sports enthusiast, Jean was a passionate fan of the New York Giants and the Knicks, and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite French soccer teams.

Jean is survived by his beloved lifelong partner, Yvette Harris; his sons, Jean Berthony Lubraine Lebrun Jr. (Natasha) and Vladimir Lebrun (Lee); his daughters, Nancy Duchatelier (Arnold), and Emmanuela (Manoune) Svenson (Bo), Pselane Coney (Kareem); his 14 grandchildren; and his sisters, Suze Sylvestre McMahon (John) and Marie-Charles Sylvestre.
