It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Daniel Giler, a kind and gentle soul, on January 8, 2025, at the age of 42. Jeffrey was born on April 2, 1982, in Providence, Rhode Island, to Jose Giler and Gladys Giler. Although he was born in Rhode Island, Jeffrey spent the majority of his life in Tampa, Florida, and Miami, Florida, where he created countless memories and touched the lives of many.
Jeffrey was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he found great purpose in serving others. His faith led him on a two-year mission to Nicaragua, where he joyfully baptized many and shared his light with everyone he met. His time there left a lasting impact on those whose lives he touched.
Jeffrey will always be remembered for his fun-loving and carefree spirit. He had the rare gift of brightening any room with his radiant smile and making everyone feel loved with his big, warm hugs. To those who knew him, he was a gentle giant—a true teddy bear whose love and laughter were infectious.
Jeffrey’s sweetness and caring nature were unmatched. Whether it was through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or just his presence, he had the ability to make even the darkest days brighter. He was a beacon of light to his family and friends, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Gladys Giler, and his father, Jose Giler, as well as his devoted siblings: Aldrin Giler, Christian Giler, Joseph Giler, Shirley Giler-Noto, Lirice Giler-Hromalich, Madeline Giler, and David Giler. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, all of whom adored their Uncle Jeffrey and will forever cherish the love and joy he brought into their lives.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614 with services beginning at 2:30PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lake Carroll Cemetery, 2401 Myers Ln, Tampa, FL 33612.
