CANFIELD, John M, 70, of Tampa passed away on January 29, 2018. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Miriam; daughter Lee Ann (Kevin) Jespersen; stepson, Greg (Ceciel) Fosco; siblings, Kenneth, David Ronald, and Marcia; grandchildren, Robert, Olivier, and Thijs; and many other extended family members and good friends. Born and raised in Lancaster, OH; John left for the United States Air Force in 1966 and moved to Tampa Bay in 1970. He was a dedicated coach and mentor to his players and colleagues at Jesuit High School for 18 years until his retirement in 2004. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, February 5 at the Blount & Curry, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr, Tampa. Family will begin receiving friends at 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or to Jesuit High School in John’s memory.
