Judy Turner (Mahaffee), 74, a longtime resident of the South Tampa area, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016. Judy was born in in Spartanburg, SC on January 22, 1942. She was predeceased by her mother Haven Mahaffee, her father Cliatt Mahaffee, her sister Jo Haven Adkins, and brother Cliatt (Hap) Mahaffee Jr. Judy is survived by her loving husband David (of 56 years), her daughter Tammy Schindler, sons David Todd, Gerron (Bo), and Derron (Chad), sisters Barbara Little John and Sarah Rodgers, brother-in-law Olin Turner, sister-in-law Jaunita Threlkeld, grandsons David Turner, Andrew Wardencki, Sean Lalley, granddaughters Tammy and Oliva Turner, great grandsons David Wardencki and Donte Turner, many wonderful nieces and nephews, and her many friends at Winward Lakes Park in South Tampa. Judy’s husband David retired from the U.S. Army at MacDill AFD, and they settled in the South Tampa area. In lieu of flowers Judy preferred that donations be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church, 3055 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC, 29307 in her name.
