

Kristin Brooke Youngblood (Kurtz), 37, died unexpectedly in her home in Riverview, FL. Kristin is survived by her wife, Courtney Youngblood; mother and stepfather, Kimberly and John Graves; grandmother, Dorothy Adcock; and siblings, Sarah and Jessica Kurtz, as well as, John, Leah, Emily, and James Graves.
Kristin was born in Durham, North Carolina on January 2, 1988. She played softball at Brevard College before attending the University of North Carolina. She then went on to serve as an E-5 Staff Sergeant for the United States Air Force as a Public Affairs Specialist. After 8 years of service, she went on to work in finance. She and her wife Courtney moved to Florida in November of 2020.
Kristin was an avid sports fan, especially all teams UNC, the Carolina Panthers, and the US Women's National Soccer Team. She was an animal lover devoted to her dogs, Koah, Dixie, and Rocco. She was an adorable nerd, gamer, outdoor adventurer, constant tinkerer, and an intensely passionate person with a giant heart.
Funeral details are pending but will be held at Clements Funeral Home in Durham, NC with a reception to follow. Please check for updates.
