Lilia, called Nana by all, was predeceased by her parents, Rudecindo Rodriguez Soto (Papá Cindo) and Dorila Morales Jiménez (Mamá Lila), her first husband, Melvin E. Gomber, and her second husband, Charles J. Stockford Jr. She is survived by five of her 12 siblings, her two daughters, Christine (Brian) Jenkins and Lynda (Geoff) Goldbach, and her four grandchildren, Tony DeRico Jr., Emily Goldbach, Hunter Jenkins, and Amy Goldbach.
Born in the small mountain town of Zarcero in Costa Rica, she was the first and only one of her siblings to leave the country and move to the United States. She was so welcoming and could strike up a conversation with anybody about anything. Nana maintained her grace and sense of style throughout her entire life. Known for her love of family, hats, horses, cooking, crochet, and dancing, she will forever be in our hearts.
A graveside service for Lilia will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.gonzalezfuneral.com for her family.
