

Margaret Elizabeth Burdette was born on January 3, 1936, in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, to Alfred and Jane Butterfield. The youngest of eight children, Margaret grew up surrounded by family and faith.
At the age of 19, she married Aubrey W. Burdette, an American serviceman stationed at Chicksands Air Force Base during the Korean War. Following their marriage, the couple relocated to the United States, first making their home in Miami before eventually settling in Tampa, Florida.
Margaret devoted her life to caring for others. She had a deep love of children, raising five of her own and touching countless young lives as an elementary school teacher’s aide and Sunday school teacher. Her warm smile and kind generous spirit, left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She will be remembered for her loving spirit and unwavering devotion to family and faith.
Margaret is survived by her children, Cheryle, Steven, Michael, and Erica, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She joins her beloved husband, Aubrey, and her daughter, Sharon, in eternal rest.
Her legacy lives on in the kindness she shared, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.
A visitation will be held on October 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Blount & Curry Life Event Center, located at 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location, starting at 12:00 pm.
