

Mary Ann was born on the feast day of the Blessed Mother, September 8, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late George and Mary Malchow (Sheehan). She attended St. Mary’s Nursing School in Brooklyn, NY, and graduated in 1969 as a Registered Nurse, which was her lifelong dream. She was admired and respected by her coworkers due to her sincerity, kindness, compassion, and intelligence as well as her candidness. She was known for “telling it like it is” in the most gentle way.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her treasures and she loved spoiling them rotten. She was a devout Catholic with unwavering faith and enjoyed taking pilgrimages with her family and friends. She spent many years developing a family history, complete with remembered stories about herself and her siblings and parents, uncles and aunts, and cousins. She created a true legacy for her family by doing this. She was an extremely loving, generous, kind, and caring person, who will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joseph Malchow, as well as her beloved nephew, Timothy Malchow. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Kimberly, Jennifer (Michael) Drapeau, and Kathleen Leon, her five grandchildren, Michael and Nicole Drapeau, and Mason, Wyatt, and Molly Leon, her brother George (Pamela) Malchow (Columbiaville, NY), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 1PM at Incarnation Catholic Church in Tampa, FL. Interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery will take place at a later date.
