Michael D Murphy of Buffalo, NY passed away in Hudson, Florida 12/18/18 from a long illness at the age of 59. He was a loving father to his sons Jason, Justin, and Kevin Murphy. His Granddaughter Eirelynn was his princess who he adored. Michael was the son of the late William R and Mary J (Gardinier) Murphy. Michael is survived by siblings William (Gail) Murphy, Colleen (Michael) Roach, Maureen (Sam) Sweeney and Mary (Chris) Murphy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Michael joined the Navy and pursued the construction industry after his discharge in 1978. He was a talented Carpenter and knew many facets of the industry. Michael enjoyed assisting his family and friends doing projects together and was known for being a perfectionist. He had a extremely big heart and was very giving. During his final years he loved spending time with his granddaughter and watching her grow. They had a very special bond. Michael also spent time in the Florida area visiting family and friends. He did not enjoy the Buffalo winters. Recently he went to Florida and anticipated returning to Buffalo in the Spring.
In his last correspondence he wrote "Love and Miss All of You, Please Give My Best Wishes to Everybody." Michael will be truly missed. A private memorial service was held in Buffalo, NY. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
