Michele Marthe Jeanne Van Sickle

Michele Marthe Jeanne Van Sickle, age 87 passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough Care Center at St Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Born May 10, 1938, in Chaumont, France, Michele was the daughter of the late Eugene Ihlen and Jeanne Chaudet Ihlen.

Michele retired from the banking industry after 18 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured hosting holiday dinners, taking cruises and vacations in the mountains with her family. She was of the Christian faith and attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Carrollwood.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Watson (Charlie) of Valdosta, GA, her sons Eddie Kozlowski (Connie) of Tampa, FL and Robert Kozlowski (Gwen) of Tampa, FL; stepson Ron Van Sickle (Candice) of Ellicot City, MD, and stepdaughter Karen Van Sickle of Spring Hill, FL; sister Jacqueline Kilgannon of Tampa, FL; she loved her 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Van Sickle, step-son Michael Van Sickle, sister Renee Bukovskey, and father of her children Edward Kozlowski.

Michele will be cremated according to her wishes and a Catholic Mass will be held at St Paul Catholic Church in Carrollwood on October 4th at 12:00 pm.
