

She is survived and missed by her three sons, Ron Poplawski, (Dawn) of Georgia, David Poplawski, (Debbie), of Tampa, Tom Poplawski, (Cindy), of Kansas, and her daughter Cathy (Herve), of Washington. Forever cherished and remembered by her four grandchildren, Justin Poplawski,(Rebecca), Kaylee Guagliardo, (Sal), Ron Poplawski Jr., Rachel Poplawski; Her great granddaughter Jamie Poplawski; Her brother Chuck Shick, (Connie).
She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Bernice Shick, and her beloved husband Ronald J. Poplawski.
Nancy met her husband in Newaygo, Michigan and eventually wed June 28, 1958. Some of her greatest joy came from her four children. As a military family they lived in many states including Hawaii and Alaska and shared many adventures together. They settled in Tampa, Florida which became their permanent home. She was a loving and caring mother, a dedicated wife and passionate believer in god. Nancy was a devout Catholic and practicing member of Christ the King church. She was an avid baker and food connoisseur. She loved taking road trips to visit her family and frequently traveled to her hometown of Newaygo.
Nancy spent many evenings playing card games and loved a good game of gin rummy. She was a woman of great intelligence, filled with grace and strong values. She was a joy to many.
Nancy is reunited with her husband Ronald J. Poplawski in heaven. Her love will continue to shine through those who hold her gracious memory.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Blount & Curry FH-Macdill Chap, 605 S. Macdill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33629. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Indian School and Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
