FUENTES, Rene, 80, of Tampa passed away October 12, 2010. Rene was a retired salesman with Frito-Lay. After his retirement from Frito-Lay he worked at Hillsborough High School as a custodian until his retirement in 2006. Rene was a well known musician in the Latin community. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Loretta Perez Fuentes; two children, Rene Fuentes Jr and wife Isabel, Celeste De Armas and husband Jorge; four grandchildren, Rene Fuentes III, Natalie Lorenzo, Kristina Fuentes, Jorge De Armas; two sisters, Grace Alcover, Anita Betancourt. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Gonzalez Funeral Home.
