To Richie: There's  not enough space and it'd probably take a full book to share all the good memories we had so I'll just tell you that I miss you my brother. Not a day has gone by that I don't think of or am reminded of you in some way. I'm usually overwhelmed with sadness but I quickly try to remember all the good times we've had, all the great things you accomplished, everything you overcame, all the cool things you had or bought that you wanted to show me and I try to remember you. Just you. As you were.  Thinking of how you were the badass, smart mouthed goofy kind hearted loving friend. That never fails to make me smile. We made so many good memories I should never not smile again whenever I think of you. I will forever remember you and I will always be grateful for having had you in my life. Love ya my brother! To Richie's family: I love you guys so much. Growing up you guys were always so nice and welcoming to me. I just want to let you know that really means a lot to me. Richie was one of my best friends in the world and I know how much he loved you guys. He'd become such a great man and did everything he set his mind to and I'm sure he could attribute that to how well you all raised him. I am terribly sorry for your loss. My brother was a role model to alot of people 
I dont know if he knew what he meant to me or how much i looked up to him.
He taught me alot he taught me how to be Me 
he taught me how to be real to myself, to the ones around me and the ones I love.
My Brother was a Father, A King, A Uncle, A Souljah, An Angel, And sometimes he was hard headed.
Richie & I had somewhat of the same upbringing. 
The same struggles, and maybe thats why I understood him more then others did.
All my brother had was good intentions.

Richie told me alot of things but the main thing that stuck with me and always will is “The thing that keeps you alive is gonna get you killed”
One thing me and my Brother can relate to is our Pride.. 
But over the years of knowing richie and getting to know him more I saw the change, I saw him reaching out for a new life a new him.
And that was always an inspiration to me..

Richie, we along with your loving family and friends are mourning your loss. We were so saddened to hear of a life cut too short. All of your friends and family agree that you lived a full and rich life and you had the ability to deeply touch so many lives . We were so blessed to know you. Our nephew... Richie you will be so missed by us! We loved him!! We were so proud of him and his drive to do so much and accomplish so much … he was loving and warm and when he hugged you you felt it and you felt his honesty and sincerity… a little rough around the edges but mushy inside!!!! He leaves behind a beautiful daughter and Family that will miss him terribly! He leaves behind loyal and loving friends that will keep his memories alive with wonderful stories about him! Richie RIP… until we meet again… 

My second period sidekick troublemaker. The only person I would get separated in class from. Not just separated, strategically having to be placed by our teacher where we couldn’t make eye contact because that alone would set us off into disrupting fits of laughter. Those are the types of laughs that stick with you forever. Thank you for the memories Richie. 

Richie, I will never forget the laughs we shared throughout the years. You were like my brother in middle school, teasing me but always there to talk to. I will miss you , until we meet again ❤️ . 

Your dreams are now my dreams, I love you buddy 

I met Richie through Jasem and I immediately knew he was special! He had a giant smile and was fool of energy. Ritchie was always super nice to me, he treated me like I grew up with him and Jasem. I only got to hang out with him a handful of times, but we still spoke on the phone and became good friends. He is an inspiration to me, he wasn’t scared to go after anything. I will never forget this man and I am honored to have been one of his friends. 

Not sure where to begin or what to share, so many memories with you- but the one that sticks out the most that I couldn’t find a photo for may be the best. My Halloween costume
Party in 3rd grade. Everyone was dressed as fun easy stuff- the typical doctor, cowboy, mermaid, etc. Richie had not showed up yet and everyone wondered where he was. With the help of his best friend Patrick Spano, he managed to sneak in the back of my moms house in full on SCREAM killer clad (yes the all black cloak ghost face that was so popular in the 90s). I’ll never forget his sense of humor. It was so evident always. He always could make the entire room laugh no matter the audience- even if it was as crude as a fart joke. To the only other Catholic-Jew I knew- I love ya brother. Rest In Peace. 

Richie, I think of you daily.. you were so special to all of us. I can not say that my heart doesn’t hurt from your passing, but just being able to be a part of your life means the world to me. I will forever cherish every one of the memories created with you. One of my favorite conversations with you was at Ricks on the River with your parents, we talked about how much you have grown and accomplished throughout your life.. and how PROUD we were of you.  I will always admire your determination, strong mind, and  how hard you worked to get where you wanted to be. You will live through each of us that have been so lucky to be loved by you. I can never bring myself to say goodbye to you.. so until we meet again, I love you Richie. We will all be here to remind Rachel Grace how amazing her father was and how deeply you loved her. 

Richie was more than just a friend he was my brother. I have known him for over 20 years. He was one of the most driven, ambitious, fearless, hard working humans I have ever met. Anything he said he was going to do he did. He had no fears and loved a challenge. He loved telling me all of his accomplishments.. he was so proud of how far he had come in this life. He strived for greatness and that’s exactly what he was in every field.. GREAT. I hope he knows how proud I am of him. He was so caring and giving, and so in love with his baby girl. She was his top priority. He would go to the ends of the earth just to be near her. We have been through so much together throughout our lives. He did more things in his 32 years than a lot of people do in their life. We could talk 5 times a week or once a month and we would pick up right where we left off like we never missed a beat. I just can seam to wrap my head around the fact he is not here anymore. He was unstoppable how can he be gone? I write this choking back tears. This can’t be real. Heaven gained an angel, and he will be missed here by so many. I love you brother. Until we meet again.

I’m so sorry for this loss. The world just lost one of its greatest adventurers. I hope heaven is full of under water treasures for you Coop. Rest easy friend. My deepest condolences to your family.

RIP Coop. I had the privilege of working with Coop on a few jobs. He was a solid individual, one of the good guys and will be missed.

The news of Coops passing came to me hard, I had literally just run into him the day before.  Years after working together in the gulf we randomly cross paths in Michigan of all places, it's hard to explain my joy after running into a buddy from the past. We spoke briefly as Coop was finishing up on day shift and I was coming in to start night shift. We hugged in a brotherly embrace, and I was excited at the thought of catching up with an old friend. Only to find out the next day of his passing. He was solid you could count on him, he could be trusting and Richard Cooperstein like alot of the guys i've worked with and would call friends had proved himself time and time again to be a Man among Men. Coop you're gonna be missed brother, that's all I can say, and like so many who knew Coop, its a tuff loss. My thoughts and prayers are with Coop, his family and his little girl.
There's an old song I like, I'd listen to it off shore and the song asks "who will cry for me when I'm gone".  Coop, like so many, i'm crying brother, and I really hate to see you go.

Your son was a fine young man and a great diver. Be proud of him, very proud. He knew his s@#%. Find peace knowing he was one of the best. Rip coop

I first met Richie about seven or eight years ago in Lafayette. We were a wild bunch of kids that always enjoyed a good time. We spent many a night staying up until the sun came up and the conversation always ended with something deep and introspective. He was a great man, and I loved to see him find the purpose and peace he needed. I haven’t seen him in years, but I’ll always cherish those moments. I’m so sorry for the loss, but Coop was a one of a kind guy, with the kindest heart.

Rachel Grace, along with the rest of the world, has been robbed of his laughter and that smile. You and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you love, Lisette.

To the Family and Friends of my dear cousin Lil Richie AKA Uncle Roo Roo; I send my greatest condolences. May God fill you with Love, Strength, Comfort, and Peace during this time.  There’s nothing that can take away our sorrow and pain, but our faith; and knowing that he is now in the hands of our loving Father living the best life there is, in Heaven. 
Richie was one of a kind!  He was always down for a party and up for an adventure!There was no medium, Richie was either full of energy, or super tired! I remember many times him snoring on my couch after work with his dirty steel toed boots on (ugh!), and Harper jumping on him saying uncle rooroo uncle rooroo wake up!
Richie was brave, determined, confident and full of humor! He was loving even under that thick skin and hard head. He never missed saying happy birthday to me (that’s pretty impressive for a man!). ☺️ He was always hungry and ate anything!! I knew if he was passing by between work, he was ready for a sandwich, or any leftovers I had, and of course the girls juice boxes! 
Nelson really grew a close bond with Richie.  From treasure hunting in the keys to fishing and lobstering all night long (much more to those stories I’m sure you could imagine…) He was like the little brother Nelson never had, and I know he will forever cherish that relationship and the memories he shared with Richie. 
We were blessed to have Lil Richie in our lives and he will always stay close in our hearts. Rest In Peace cousin, we love you.

Lil Richie was one of a kind, he would always get a kick out of it when the kids called him by that.  I feel blessed that he lived close by the last few years and we got to spend more time with him. Lil Rich was always down for an adventure, always getting into trouble, fun, brave, talented, hardworking, stubborn, loving and always hungry. Every time he would come by the house first stop was the refrigerator. The kids loved him and were always excited when “Lil Richie” was around. He brought joy, laughter and sarcasm everywhere he went. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him and I am grateful that he was part of our family.

We lost touch as adults, but Richie and I had all the same classes together in middle school and high school. What i remember most is that he was always making people laugh and his smile was infectious. He was friends with everybody no matter who they were and I always admired that. I have so many memories of Richie. Our family was recently in Orlando staying in a place where Richie had joined DJ for a vacation years ago. They certainly made the trip memorable and we recounted the events of the week...DJ summed it up to "we were just kids" For years, Richie was always near and became an extended family member. I am truly heartbroken. May the peace that comes from the memories of the love you shared comfort you now and in the days ahead. He will forever be in our hearts.
