Ron was a graduate of John Carrol High School and Auburn University, both Alma Mater’s he remained dedicated to his entire life. He was a hard working entrepreneur, successfully owning several businesses throughout his life, managing hundreds of employees and enabling them to provide for their own families.
He is survived by his devoted wife Renae who stood by his side until the very end. Ron and Renae met later in life and were together for 10 years. He was the ‘man of her dreams’ and his friends and family joked that ‘he finally found the one’.
Ron never had kids but adopted his wife’s children, Ashlee Cram (Kevin) and Ryan Riley, as his own. Renae’s grandkid’s became the light of his life, called him Pop Pop and Ron even bought a shirt that said ‘I’m a Proud Grandpa’. He is also survived by his niece and nephew (Sumerlin Brandon and Paul Brandon), countless friends, cousins, and his eternal allegiance to Auburn football.
He is now reunited with his parents, Paul and Louise Battaglia, his sister Marianne Brandon and brother Robert Battaglia; a long awaited reunion they all were surely excited to have.
His friends and family will remember him for his outgoing spirit, tenacity, and a sense of humor that made you laugh so hard you cried.
