Sharon spent her early childhood in Minneapolis before moving with her parents to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in 1948. She grew up in Sioux Falls and, on November 24, 1962, married the love of her life, Francis Eliason. Together they made their home in Sioux Falls for 10 years before relocating to Tampa in 1972, where they raised their family.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Sharon dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a stay-at-home mother for many years before working with the Hillsborough County School System, a position that allowed her to be present for holidays and summers with her children. Sharon and Francis were blessed with three sons: Michael, Scott, and Charles.
Faith was central to Sharon’s life. As a teenager, she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. After joining Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, she lovingly served in the nursery for many years and found great joy in Bible study and prayer groups. Her mornings with her prayer circle often ended with fellowship over breakfast at the Village Inn, a tradition she treasured.
Sharon also enjoyed traveling, especially to visit her children and grandchildren after they moved away. Time spent with family brought her the greatest happiness.
She is lovingly remembered her husband Francis Eliason; her brother Paul Mickelson; by her sons Charles (Michele) Eliason, Scott Eliason, and Michael (Maria Lucia Valgas) Eliason; her grandchildren August (Cassandra) Eliason, Luke Eliason, Amie (Ryan) Heald, Megan Eliason, Nicholas Bozeman, Edward (Nicole) DeCambra, Kristen Eliason, Matthew Eliason, Christine Sanchez, Elizabeth Sanchez, and Garret Parker; and her great-grandchildren Violet Eliason, Olive Eliason, Kataryna Logan, Maryjane Schooley, Juliet Schooley, Ada Nunez, Luca DeCambra, Leo DeCambra, Carlee Cioffi, Mason Hite, and Arian Hite.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant twin brother, Steven Mickelson.
Sharon will be remembered for her deep faith, her devotion to her family, and the kindness she extended to everyone around her.

Following the service there will be time for fellowship and sharing memories of Sharon with a lunch at the church Hall. As Sharon’s favorite color was yellow, you are welcome to wear yellow to the church service and to the fellowship hall later. Let’s brighten up the world with yellow in memory of her.
