Vena Trifoso

Vena is survived by husband, Peter; children, Mindy; Grandson Jackson Carson; Siblings - Vickey & Tom Paggio, Tampa, FL, Jane and Amy Kincaid, Seminole, Fl, Rick and Debbie Kincaid, Horseheads, NY. Vena is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Kincaid and father Roy Kincaid, both of Elmira Heights, NY.

Vena was born on 5/21/53 in Charleston, WV to Roy and Ruth Kincaid. Vena graduated from Corning School of Nursing in 1973 with a degree in nursing. Vena married Peter, her high school sweetheart in 1975. After 20 years of nursing in NY Vena & Peter moved to Tampa FL where Vena finished her career as a Hospice Nurse in Tampa, FL. Vena retired in April 2019. Vena & Peter welcomed Melinda into their home in December of 1979. Vena’s time off was enjoying the Florida weather on a beach, travel and in front of a slot machine.

Vena was an RN who loved her job for the right reasons – helping others. She was a dedicated employee willing to do whatever necessary to comfort people in their final days on this earth.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Thursday, January 13th, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. Macdill, Tampa, FL. A memorial service will begin at 6pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vena’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to LifePath Hospice, Tampa, FL at lifepathhospice.chaptershealth.org. The family would like to thank St. Joseph's North ER Staff and Dr. Locke, Christine Miller, Case Manager, Dr. Vanessa Watts and St. Andrew’s Skilled Nursing Facility for their efforts & care.
