

99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21st in Atlanta, Georgia. Vic was born on October 23, 1916 to Rosalia (Palermo) and Ramon DelValle in Tampa, Florida. She grew up in large family in the Palmetto Beach area of Tampa attending Desoto Elementary, Jefferson Junior High and graduating from Hillsborough High School where she played basketball, was a cheerleader and voted Best All Around. Vic attended business school after high school in Tampa. She married Gerhardt “Hank” Kreher in 1940. They settled in Tampa after the end of World War II and were longtime residents of Davis Island. After raising their five children, Vic started a career at the Hillsborough County Tax Collectors office until retiring in 1992. Vic was a founding member of the Davis Island Garden Club, as well as the Homebuilders Bible Study Class started in 1948 at First Presbyterian Church of Tampa. She was an avid gardener and loved all things related to nature. Vic will be remembered for her devotion to family, her kindness, her beautiful smile, and her sense of humor. She is survived by her children, Paul (Gail) Kreher; Carol (Traywick) Duffie; Rick Kreher, Eric (Cathi) Kreher, and Holly Kreher as well as her grandchildren, Scott (Whitney) Kreher; Lauren Duffie; Jason (Eirik) Kreher; Casey Kreher, Amanda (Miles) Chapman, Caroline (Dan) Judy; John Race; Madeline Kreher, Tori Kreher, Alison Kreher and Neshe Marie Kreher and her great grandchildren, Elijah Chapman, Addison Chapman, Ashley Chapman, Emma Chapman, Rosalia Judy, Blake Kreher, Emily Kreher, Maddie Kreher, and Alex Kreher. She is also survived by her sister Helen Hill, and sister-in-law Alma Blount DelValle, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vic was preceded in death by her husband, Gerhardt Kreher, her twin brother Joe DelValle, and siblings Rose Muzio; Lenore DelValle; Hortense Morris; Robert DelValle; Ray DelValle; Charlie DelValle; Bill DelValle. There will be a visitation on Thursday evening, April 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 evening at Blount & Curry Funeral Home located at 605 South MacDill Ave., in Tampa. On Friday morning, April 29th, a short graveside service will be held at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, 4202 E Lake Ave., in Tampa at 10am. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 412 E. Zack St. in downtown Tampa on Friday at 1pm with a reception to follow at the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Tampa, Florida, the North Avenue Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, Georgia, or the Victoria DelValle Kreher Scholarship at the University of Tampa. The family wishes to thank the wonderful care from the staff at Hollander Senior Living Center of Atlanta, Georgia and Rev. Scott Weimer of North Avenue Presbyterian Church for his spiritual guidance during Vic’s last days.
