Maggio, Vincenzo (July 29, 1927 - April 2, 2015) of Tampa. Loving and faithful husband of over 60 years to Lillian, father to Vincent "Chris" and Cheryl, grandfather to Emily and her husband Andy, Michael and his wife Brie, and David and the love of his life, Rachael, and great-grandfather to Andrew, Allison and Molly Bennett and Bella and Lana Maggio. Vincenzo was a proud Veteran of the United States who honorably served God and his country in multiple wars as a member of the Merchant Marines, Army and the Air Force, from which he retired in 1970 after 22+ years of dedicated service. He leaves behind his immediate family members, as well as his brother Sam, sisters Dorothy, Nina, and Marie, and numerous well-loved nieces, nephews, and friends. He goes before us as a good and faithful servant of God, who has lovingly modeled what he has preached his entire life, and in doing so, has made a positive difference in the lives of all whom he has touched. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00PM on Friday, April 10th at Incarnation Catholic Church, 8220 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa. Private interment will take place on a later date at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Stand Up to Cancer, research to end Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, and/or Hospice.
