William Douglass Howze

Doug and his beloved wife Audrey, have a large, blended and extended family. Audrey's son, Greg Reed and his sister, Deborah Reed, were much loved by Doug. Greg's children, Mike and Sam and Deborah's children ,Jason Lockard, his sons, Ashton and Jaden and Diane Donley, and her daughter, Lily, were very special to Doug.

Also, cherishing his memory are his son, William Douglass and his daughter, Jessie Genevish. Their respective children, Mackenzie Howze (Doug) and Laura Kate Lee and Bethany (Jessie) will miss "grandpa" very much.

Doug is predeceased by his first wife, Patsy, as well as his siblings, Frances Pickard, James Howze IV, Mary Church and Anne Ashton. Doug was proud of his Florida roots. He loved cheering on the Gators and the Tampa Bay Rays. Doug was honest and led a life of integrity. He never met a stranger and always was a helping hand to his neighbors. Doug enjoyed puttering around in the yard and fixing things. In his later years he became a very accomplished woodworker leaving behind many treasured mementos. Vocationally, Doug worked in real estate appraisal, retiring from the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser's office. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior.

A Memorial service will be held on September 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 8404 West Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33615
