

Vickers,William Albert Jr. of Tampa, entered into Heaven on May 23, 2016. He is survived by sister - Jeannie Milhollen(husband James) of Marietta,Georgia, 3 children - daughter Ann M. Minter (husband Donald) of Tampa, daughter Donna J. Coffman(husband Keith) of Brooksville, son William A. Vickers III ( wife Vicki) of North Pole, Alaska, 8 grandchildren – Donald H. Minter Jr, Stephanie A. Moad( husband Jason), Roxanne Black ( husband Mike), Casey Coffman, Katelyn Hamilton( husband Josh), Brandon Vickers, Robert Vickers, Rebekah Vickers, 3 great grandchildren – Caylee Moad, Cordelia Moad and Zoe Coffman. Mr. Vickers( Vic, Bill, W.A.and Pop Pop to his grandchildren) was born February 2, 1930 in Slippery Rock ,Pennsylvania, but was raised in the city of Douglas in Coffee County, Georgia. He was a 20 year veteran in the United States Air Force, he retired as a Tech Seargent. He later worked many years at Eckerd Drug Stores and later he was Chief of Security at the Performing Arts Center when it first opened. His later years he was a volunteer at “Cracker Country”at the Florida State Fair.He was also a Proud American Flag Waver on Bayshore Blvd at “Patriot Corner”. He was a Wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He now rejoices in the Kingdom of the Lord and has been reunited with his late wife of 60 years – Doris Vickers and their late son – Keith M. Vickers. Visitation will be May 31, 2016 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and the Celebration of Life will follow – both at Blount & Curry Funeral Home on MacDill Ave in Tampa, Fl.
