Agnes O'Connor, age 89, of Belton died Friday, June 26, 2009 in a local nursing center. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM Monday, June 29, at Bellwood Memorial Park with Chaplain Judy Hoelscher officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. O'Connor was born on January 18, 1920 in Marksville, Louisiana to Eddie and Tema (Bordelon) Gaspard. She had been a resident of Temple for over 50 years. She married George P. O'Connor on December 23, 1965. She was a member of TOPS, Home Extension and St. Luke's Catholic Church where she was a member of Catholic Daughters. She was also a volunteer at St.Vincente De Paul Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Thelma Ann Miller and one brother, Joe Gaspard. Survivors include her husband, George P. O'Connor of Belton, her two daughters, Evelyn Wall and husband, Dale of Holland, Linda Carpenter and husband, Jim of Temple, one son, Roy Gaspard of Texas City and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
