

Anna was born on February 1, 1935, in Temple, Texas, the daughter of John Thomas Fipps and Rosa Lee (Dailey) Fipps. A lifelong resident of Temple, she graduated from Temple High School in 1953 and built a life rooted in faith, family, and community.
In 1954, Anna married the love of her life, Roy Mayes Goode, and together they shared many wonderful years before his passing in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister Maurine Elliot, her brother JW Fipps, and her son Craig Goode.
Anna was a devoted member of Temple First Church of the Nazarene, where she cherished worship and fellowship with her church family. She found great joy in supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially while watching them play sports. A true sports enthusiast, Anna was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and her beloved Temple Wildcats.
She is survived by her son, Randy Goode and wife Dorothy of Belton, Texas, and her daughter, Denise Williams and husband Jay “Buddy” of Alvin, Texas. She also leaves behind six grandchildren—Scott Yepma and wife Tiffany, Jason Yepma and wife Kelly, Kristi Magana and Rusty Kelley, Brandon Goode and wife Tracy, Justin Williams and wife Natalie, and Jacob Williams and wife Jamie—as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward with love.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.
Anna’s life was a reflection of her faith, kindness, and love for her family. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
