
Annie (Ann) Pearl Martin, age 86, died on September 2, 2007, at the Plaza of Richardson Nursing Center in Richardson, Texas, following a courageous battle with kidney disease. Born July 8, 1921 near Bay City, Texas to Michael Alexander Harris (1888-1967) and Nina Irene Halick (1893-1967), both immigrants from Poland, Ann grew up on a farm with her two sistersOlga Helen Bozon (1919-1987) and Elizabeth Josephine Johnston (1930-1994). Her family moved to Houston, where her father worked as a longshoreman. She attended John H. Reagan Senior High School. Mrs. Martin, was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney McFarland Martin (1927-1996) of Channelview, Texas, she married December 20, 1952 in Hempstead, Texas. In 1959, Ann moved with her husband, Sid, and son, Jimmy, to Richardson, Texas. She spent her life as a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Her life was one of love-sacrificing self while giving joy to all who knew her. Mrs. Martin is survived by her son James Allan Martin and wife Patricia Hasbrouck Martin of Richardson, Texas. Private Burial services will be held at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple, Texas. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Annie P. Martin Memorial Fund, Holy Trinity Seminary, P.O.
