Mrs. Baugh was born in Waco, Texas to Walter "Dub" Davis and Nell Spencer Davis. She grew up in Temple, the oldest of three girls. She was a prized member of the award-winning Temple High School marching band, before graduating in 1966. After high school, Mrs. Baugh attended and graduated from the Scott and White School of Nursing. She then earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. In 1968, she married Franklin Baugh and raised five children. Returning to Scott and White, she was a pediatric RN for over 30 years, specializing in Pediatric Oncology. She spent her last years of work in the Pediatric Oncology Clinic before retiring. She was deeply dedicated to helping children and families battle childhood cancer. After retiring, she stayed busy with her many grandchildren. Mrs. Baugh was a former member of Ave T Church of Christ and an active member of Western Hills Church of Christ.
Mrs. Baugh was preceded in death by her parents Walter "Dub" Davis and Nell Davis. As well as a sister Jackie Davis Faulkner.
Mrs. Baugh is survived by her husband Flay Franklin Baugh Jr. of Temple. Daughter Yvonne Mendoza of Dallas. Son and wife Robert and Vickie Baugh of Cherokee Texas. Daughter Kelly Baugh of Temple. Son and wife Tracy and Melissa Baugh of Belton. Daughter and husband Charity Baugh Ferguson and Shawn Ferguson of Temple. Sister and Husband Betty and Chuck Jowell of Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Grandchildren: Brissa Baugh of Abilene and Gunner Baugh of Waco. William Baugh of College Station, Evelyn Baugh, James Baugh, Tracy Baugh Jr., John Baugh, and Jesse Baugh of Belton. Preston Ferguson and Parker Ferguson of Temple. Tori Foreman of Houston.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Rd, Temple, TX 76504.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Western Hills Church of Christ, 210 N General Bruce Dr, Temple, TX 76504. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
