

Barbara Lois “Barbie” Maspero, age 86, of Belton, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at her home in Belton. She was born on January 12, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas the daughter of Theodore Charles and Marguerite (Norbery) Ebest.
A visitation will take place on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with a Rosary to take place at 7:00pm at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Luke Catholic Church followed by an inurnment at St. Luke Catholic Church Columbarium.
Barbie was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple and was a volunteer for the children’s elementary schools at St. Mary Elementary and Bethune – Mega Comet Elementary.
She is survived by her husband Louis Anthony Maspero of Belton, children, Lisa Irene Barca and husband David of Fulshear, Marcia Marie Petter and husband Kurt of Temple, Andrea Alane Billeck and husband Billy Joe of Rogers, Matthew Damien Maspero of Houston, and LuAnne Michelle Maspero-Ross and husband Matthew of Austin, grandchildren, Katherine Marie Putman and husband Josh of Temple, Mallory Elaine Mikes and husband Codey of Temple, Britton Dean Billeck of Rogers, Koby Petter of Temple, and Randy Barca and wife Natalie of Prairieville, LA and great-grandchildren Carson Wayne Mikes, Bentley Kate Mikes, Presley Owen Mikes, Parker Jordan Mikes, Carly Barca, Laney Barca, and Henry Barca. Barbie is also survived by a brother Richard Ebest of Aspen, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her mother Marguerite Norbery Hauger and her husband William George Hauger and her father Theodore Charles Ebest and his wife Ellen Ebest.
