Barbara Catherine Parish Moncrief

She was born July 21,1937 in Houston,Texas, to Jess Daniel (JD) Parish and Irene Wilcox.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Robert Thomas Moncrief (Bob); her father, JD Parish; mother, Irene Wilcox; and her sister, Peggy Hyland.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Delton LaCoure,Jr., (Bobby) and wife Deborah, and Jess Daniel LaCoure, Sr.(JD) and wife Janet; her stepson, Robbie Moncrief and wife Mila of Finland; her sister, Patsy Macha; her brothers, Billy Ray Parish and wife Patty, and Jess Daniel Parish, Jr. (Joe) and wife Debra. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three bonus great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Barbara had a creative sprit and a love for beauty. She enjoyed

interior decorating, making porcelain dolls, sewing, bowling, and playing bridge. Her faith was an important part of her life-- she loved reading her bible and attending Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Bible Studies.

Barbara will be remembered for her strong faith, her loving heart, and the joy she brought to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and devotion that will be cherished always.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Rd, Temple, TX 76504, on April 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM. with Pastor Mike Miller officiating.
