

Bernice Norine Schnietz was born December 25, 1917 to Clemence and Emma (Humpert) Frillman in St. Louis MO. She was educated in Catholic schools and graduated from Rosati Kain high school in 1936. Following high school she played on an amateur basketball team that traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada while scoring in 98 consecutive games. She was lovingly nicknamed "Dizzy" by her coach and team mates. She married Elmer Schnietz on June 21, 1941 he preceded her in death in 1975. She is survived by her sons Bob and wife Lynn of Chesterfield, MO and Jim and wife Roseann of Temple, TX, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and was an avid supporter of her St. Louis Cardinals, enjoying all eleven World Series Championships. Recitation of the Rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at St. Luke Catholic Church with Mass of the Christian Burial to follow with Rev. James Ekeocha officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Mount Grace Chapel, 1436 East Warne Ave., P.O. Box 16459, St. Louis MO. 63125, home to the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters "The Pink Sisters" where she has a niece Sister Mary Gemma.
