Billie G. Fulton, Sr., 79, of Temple died early Monday morning July 29, 2013 in a local hospital, after a brave battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Brownwood, Texas with Brother Bill Slaymaker officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Creek Cemetery. Mr. Fulton was born September 15, 1933 in Fort McKavett, Texas to Bailey and Lena Fulton. He grew up in Brownwood and served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War in 1952. He had worked and retired from the Santa Fe Railroad. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple, TX. He is survived by a son, Billy G. Fulton, Jr. of Bowie; daughter, Lena Katherine Lee Fulton Holmes of Ft. Worth; devoted and loving niece, Peggy Denise Fulton of Rosebud; three sisters, Bonnie Long of Ft. Worth, Jean Cox and Linda Windom both of Brownwood; three grandchildren, Joshua Michael Fulton, Jessica Mae Fulton, and Chelsea Katherine Fulton Holmes and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Fulton was blessed with a very large loving family and will be greatly missed.
