Bobby L. Reese

Bobby L. Reese, age 73 of Moffat, died Friday September 23, 2011 at a local hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. David Harbour officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 P.M. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the funeral home. Mr. Reese was born on March 17, 1938 in Olney, TX. His parents were the late Tommie Criswell and Rosa Mae Spencer Criswell. He attended schools in Seminole and Andrews, TX and graduated from Andrews High School in 1956. Bobby married Betty Bryant on October 8, 1960 in Andrews. He worked in power line construction and retired from the Heart of Texas Electric Co-op, formerly McLennan County Electric Co-Op after 17 years of service. Bobby was a craftsman and loved woodworking. He also loved camping. But foremost, Bobby was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast. He was also a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny Wayne Reese. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Reese of Moffat; a daughter, Karen Lynn Skrivanek and husband Michael of Sealy; a son, Steven Bryan Reese, Sr. and wife Robin of Granbury; five grandchildren, Kathrine Valley, Joshuah Bagby, Steven Bryan Reese, Jr., Amber Krystine Reese and Erin Brianna Reese; and one great grandchild, Abigail Valley. Memorials may be made in Mr. Reese's name to Lakeview Baptist Church Youth Department or to the Alzheimers Association.
