Charles Crawford

Charles Crawford, age 85 of Morgan's Point Resort, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 7th at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Gotcher officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Crawford was born April 16, 1930 in Ingram, Kentucky to William and Mittie Hembred Crawford. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He married Della Webb on May 12, 1960. He moved his family from Chicago to Temple in 1977 and retired from Material Transportation Company as Plant Supervisor. He was a member of VFW Post 1820, the Bell County Sportsman Club and won first place in bowling for Senior Olympics. He was preceded in death by his parents and six sisters, Sallie Baird, Willie King, Florence Fuson, Rhoena Moody, Maggie Goodin and Glessie Jones. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Della Crawford, son Bill Crawford, daughter, Lisa Crawford-Kubacak and husband, Patrick all of Morgan's Point Resort, three grandchildren, Randy Myatt and wife, Pamela of Cedar Park, Keri Crawford of Pendleton and Madison Kubacak of Morgan's Point Resort and one great-grandchild, Adelyn Myatt of Cedar Park. Also surviving is one sister, Molly Crawford of Lenior City, Tennessee. Pallbearers are Dudley Jones, Bill Jones III, Roger Hatfield, Bill Akin, Peter Denharder and Ralph Nicoloff. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
