Charles "Doug" Douglas Millsap

Born on November 1, 1946, in Gatesville, Texas, to Loise C. and Alice (Chancy) Millsap, Doug spent his early years in Gatesville before living in Waco and Temple. He attended elementary school in Lawton, Oklahoma, and later completed his education at Gatesville Middle School and High School.

On April 7, 1984, Doug married Lisa Ann (Lehr) Millsap in Temple, and together they built a life filled with love and friendship. He was a devoted member of the Methodist Church and actively participated in the Brotherhood of Vietnam Veterans of America and American Legion Post 133.

Doug found joy in fishing and generously shared his catch with friends and neighbors. He also had a passion for lawn care, woodworking, maintaining his vehicles, and playing dominoes and cards. His beloved pets—Yancy, Buddy, and Miss Speck—held a special place in his heart. Above all, he cherished not only his family but also his many dear friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughters Brenda Buckley and Ericka Argomaniz; sister Charlotte (Millsap) Barr and her husband Bill; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, with military honors rendered at 5:30 p.m.

Doug’s kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
