

Funeral services for Daniel Herman Wiley, 87, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Earthman Funeral Directors Resthaven Chapel in Houston. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Wiley died Monday in a Temple Hospital. Mr. Wiley was born January 18, 1929 in Houston to Dan Henry Wiley and Matilda Grothe Wiley. He graduated from Reagan High School and received an Associate Degree, in Electrical Technology from San Jacinto College. He married Helen Seidl March 18, 1949. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a Draftsman and Electrical Engineer for Exxon. He moved to Rockdale in 1978 and to Temple in 1980. In Temple he owned and operated Western Auto and the Good Year Store on Loop 363 and owned Wiley Custom Homes. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, the American Legion and Oak Forest Masonic Lodge in Houston and the SPJST in Seaton. Survivors include his wife Helen Wiley of Temple; one daughters Danean Myers and her husband Dave of Kansas City, Missouri, one grandson Jason Hogan of Wendell, North Carolina. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Another visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Earthman Funeral Directors Resthaven Chapel in Houston.
