Daryl G. "Bear" Entrop

Daryl G. Entrop, age 61, of Temple passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 8, 1954 in Rosebud, TX the son of Clarence and Leonette Entrop. Daryl worked in the local banking industry as a banker, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, KJT, SPJST, and Knights of Columbus where he was a 3rd degree in Council #3444 and 4th degree in Assembly #1138. He is the current Grand Knight in Council #3444 and also the State of Texas Program Director and Athletic Director for the Knights of Columbus. While not busy with the Knights of Columbus Daryl was an avid hunter especially enjoying deer hunting. Daryl is survived by his father Clarence Entrop of Temple, a brother Donald and wife Theresa Entrop of Morgan’s Point Resort, a sister Beverly and husband Danny Teague of Morgan’s Point Resort, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Leonette and a brother Kenneth Entrop. A visitation will take place on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Scanio-Harper  Funeral 3110 Airport Rd Temple, TX 76504 with a Rosary being said at 6:00PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 1018 South 7th St. Temple, TX 76504 followed by a burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Westphalia, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church would be appreciated.
