Don C. Wall

Don C. Wall, age 69 of Temple, died Monday, February 11, 2013 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 16, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Wall was born April 8, 1943 in San Antonio to R. T. and Ira Louise Howard Wall. He was a graduate of Temple High School and attended Temple Junior College. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War where he served two tours of duty. He was a Seabee in unit team 0311 detached off of MCB3 Battalion. He was in the farm equipment business after returning from Vietnam. He was co-owner, vice-president and operator of Farm Equipment Service in Temple. He enjoyed working with his cattle and farming. He was involved in many charitable causes and helped anyone in need. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father in 2008. Survivors include his mother, Ira Louise Wall of Temple, his daughter, Donnica Wall-Jones and husband, Will of Temple, three brothers, Dale Wall and wife, Evelyn of Holland, Tommy Steve Wall and wife, Linda of Troy and Ronald Tim Wall and wife, Terry of Tyler, and Don's wife, Linda Schneider. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Memorial donations may be made to one's charity of choice.
