Graveside services for Dorothy Head, 82, of Temple will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 12, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with Rev. Michael Jordan officiating. Mrs. Head died Thursday in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Head was born January 17, 1929 in Orange to Millard Edwards and Evia Marie Walker Edwards. She married James U. Head October 23, 1947. He preceded her in death September 8, 2004. She lived in Rosenberg for many years and moved to Temple nine years ago. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Mrs. Head was preceded in death by a son Timothy Edward Head. Survivors include one son Mike Head and his wife Patricia of Moody; one sister Jo Ann Grossman of Houston; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
