Mrs. Dorothy Hodges Mrs. Dorothy Hodges, 78 of Temple died Tuesday February 27, 2007 in a Temple hospital. Services for Mrs. Hodges will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday March 1, 2007 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Bill Wiley, minister officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Italy City Cemetery in Italy, Texas. Mrs. Hodges was born in Milford, Texas the daughter of Hallie and Maude Peyton Norman. She graduated from Italy High School. She was baptized in the Italy Church of Christ. She had retired after more than 30 years with the USDA Agricultural Research Service June 3, 1988. She was a member of the Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple. Mrs. Hodges is survived her husband Donald R. Hodges of Temple, Texas one son Gil Hodges of Temple, Texas, three sisters Lillian Sevier of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lois Murray of Ft. Worth, Texas and Bonnie Blanton of Houston, Texas and one granddaughter of Temple, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. Rockville, Maryland 20850-3226. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
