DOROTHY JEAN HEISCH MILLER Dorothy Jean Heisch Miller, 76 of Temple died Thursday June 4, 2009 in a Temple care center. Services for Mrs. Miller will be held at 10:00 AM Monday June 8, 2009 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Loudin officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Miller was born in Granger, Texas August 22, 1932 the daughter of Eugene and Josephine Wilson Raeke. She was a 1949 graduate of Temple High School, and was a 1966 graduate of Scott & White School of Nursing. She worked at Scott & White for many years before going to work for the Temple High School in the Health Vocations Department. She later became the Director of Nurses for a number of local nursing centers before her retirement. She was a longtime member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple. Mrs. Miller is survived by four daughters Judy Kay Herrick, Cathy Jean Koenig, Leslie Ann Heisch and Lindsay Aaron Heisch Newman all of Temple; two sons Milton Dale Heisch and Donald Wayne Heisch both of Temple. She is also survived by one sister Ann Latham of Holland. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents a brother and a grandson Jon Eric Bennett. A visitation will be held from 3-5 PM Sunday June 7, 2009 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
